To complement D’Agostini’s chapter in this volume, the present contribution considers both the visual and the aural presence of rhetorical diagrams from the perspective of their use as teaching tools. Attending to the visual elements as articulating conceptual relationships and to the text elements as representing sound, the chapter analyzes the argumentational value expressed by the geometrical shapes. Three oral features are analyzed: dialogic orientation, symmetry and chiastic structure, and repetition and rhythm in the rhetorical diagrams of ms. Paris, Bibliothѐque Nationale de France, gr. 1983 (diktyon 51610).

摘要
