The production of management information involves three essential components of the company's information system: integrated operational systems (ERP), decision-making systems (BI) and global communication tools. These different components are complementary, and their intersection is crucial to performance management. While ERP is a fundamental tool for the proper execution of information production processes, it is BI that enables organizations to organize, analyze and interpret crucial data, thereby providing strategic information to enlighten decision-making. Our objective in this article is to examine the use of a combination of information and communication system components and their impact on the performance of multinational organizations. In fact, the use cannot be decreed as a simple validation of technical solutions, but is the result of what people actually do with all the objects and technical devices. This study seeks to take a closer look at the combined use of IT to understand its impact on organizational performance. Our study is based on semi-directive interviews with the staff of a multinational company based in Morocco. Our initial results show a gap between the prescribed or expected uses and the actual impact. This suggests that the implementation and interaction between ERP and BI is crucial, and needs to be managed as a project in its own right with a strategic intention, managerial reflection and guidance for organizational change.

摘要
