The technology advancement in the field of education has shifted the incorporation of digital tools in the teaching of language. Therefore, this study is an analysis of the efficacy of the use of the Anki app in vocabulary acquisition among English Foreign Language (EFL) learners carrying a B1 level of the language. The study adopts the mixed-methods approach by combining both quantitative and qualitative analyses. The study was conducted involving 24 students who used the Anki app for a period of four weeks. The results show that there was a significant improvement in vocabulary retention, thus the increase in post-test scores. Students, however, appreciated the usability of the app, though they did pinpoint a challenge- that it used static content and there were sometimes technical glitches. Such a finding gives a comprehensive view of how spaced repetition impacts the pedagogy of vocabulary teaching among EFL learners.
