Psychology is especially useful to conservative argument because of its stance of individuocentrism, which deflects responsibility for social problems by focusing on individual behaviour over societal factors. As a field dominated by privileged individuals, psychology tends to maintain the status quo rather than challenging it, serving as a tool to uphold, not dismantle, existing power structures.
