摘要

This study explores the transformative impact of Industry 6.0 on the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) sector, highlighting its potential to enhance intelligence, sustainability, and resilience in built environments. As the demand for innovative and environmentally conscious infrastructure grows, transitioning beyond Industry 5.0 practices becomes imperative. Industry 6.0 integrates advanced digital technologies, automation, and sustainable methodologies to optimize construction efficiency and adaptability. Although the benefits of Industry 5.0 are well documented, this research highlights the challenges associated with Industry 6.0 adoption, including workforce competency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cybersecurity concerns. By examining the convergence of big data, IoT, robotics, and smart manufacturing, this study provides a strategic framework for the effective implementation of Industry 6.0 in construction, fostering the development of smart sustainable cities and a more efficient, intelligent and resilient industry.
