The analysis of regional data as part of strategic positioning can benefit greatly from technological advances in artificial intelligence. Faced with fierce competition, regions can improve their attractiveness and optimize the use of their resources. However, they do have to face up to certain constraints. This study attempts to detect current trends in the use of AI in the analysis of regional data by identifying the possible uses of AI in regional development, and above all attempts at modelling in order to predict the behavior of regional citizens. The research identifies the most recurrent themes, the most prolific authors and the relationships of occurrence of the subjects most dealt with in the literature. The results particularly highlight the multidimensional nature of AI and its role in improving regional competitiveness, adapting regions to climate change and matching resources to the specific needs of citizens. The aim of this research is to improve the visibility of public decision-makers in the potential of AI in the formulation of a strategic positioning capable of significantly improving the attractiveness of regions.

摘要
