Development of an Adaptive Cruise Control System for Autonomous Vehicles
摘要
Electric vehicles are playing an increasingly important role in sustainable development, offering significant benefits for services and the environment. One of the main advances towards autonomous driving is the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) into fully electric vehicles. In this article, an adaptive cruise control (ACC) system has been developed using the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The simulation uses two vehicles; one equipped with the ACC system and the other playing the role of a dynamic obstacle. This configuration is used to evaluate the performance of the adaptive cruise control system in various driving situations. The results obtained demonstrate the system's effectiveness in automatically adjusting speed according to environmental conditions, thus contributing to safer, more energy-efficient driving.
