Digital Technologies Applications: A Study of the New Generation ICT’s Integration and Performance in Moroccan Organizations
摘要
This study undertakes quantitative research that implements a four-dimensional empirical framework to decorticate the relationship between the applications of the new generation of digital technologies and organizational performance by administering survey questionnaires to gather quantitative data. Therefore, a sample size of sixty-nine respondents representing nine private organizations participates in the survey. The outcomes from the target population seek to provide evidence for the firms in the industrial zone of the Meknes region. Therefore, this study’s model has been synthesized from a comprehensive ICT empirical framework. The findings reveal that the studied organizations have allocated substantial financial and human resources investments to introduce the four aspects of ICT. On that account, the revelations exhibited varying degrees of ICT application regarding technical, operational, inter-organizational, and strategic integration. However, these firms have encountered major challenges concerning the high costs of ICT deployment, the lack of sufficient expertise and professional knowledge to run the rapidly evolving technologies, and the unclarity of the strategic planning and vision concerning digital technologies management. The impact of this study lies in addressing these sizeable issues with the ultimate objective of calling into question the effectiveness and the areas of improvement of the integrated ICT-based systems.
