The unique properties of terahertz radiation in the 0.3–10 THz frequency range of the electromagnetic spectrum have led to its application in various fields. The article deals with the possibility of detecting the spectral “fingerprint” of hidden plastic explosives and their compounds in the terahertz range using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. It has been determined that RDX, TEN and HMX have a specific spectral fingerprint in the terahertz range, which allows remote detection of the indicated substances by means of THz-TDS.
