The article examines ways to solve the problem of recycling and utilizing lithium-ion batteries. The existing problems in this direction are explained, the batteries are divided into groups and a critical analysis of recycling technologies is carried out. The characteristics of pyrometallurgical methods for the disposal of batteries are reviewed and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are indicated. The importance of the development and application of the utilization and recycling technologies of materials of lithium-ion batteries in our country, including at the Azerbaijan Technical University, is emphasized, and the ways to solve these problems are indicated. It is confirmed that hydrometallurgy is more effective than pyrometallurgy in the disposal of some types of batteries. Thus, the extraction of precious metals and compounds is easily possible using the hydrometallurgy method. At the same time, the process itself does not require the use of expensive equipment and is not harmful to the environment.

摘要
