The Path into Engineering Technology and Beyond
摘要
This chapter traces the inspiring and unconventional journey of Beth McGinnis-Cavanaugh, from a young woman uncertain of her academic future to an award-winning engineering educator and community college advocate. Influenced early by her father’s belief in the power of an engineering degree, Beth’s path included dropping out of college, raising a family, and returning to school at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) with renewed purpose. Her experience at STCC was transformative, leading her to pursue advanced degrees and eventually discover a passion for teaching.
