Parkinson’s disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders worldwide, with known associations with visual impairments, including color vision deficits and eye movement abnormalities. These visual symptoms can be found in the prodromal stages of PD, suggesting its possible utility as a diagnostic tool in PD. The novel use of computerized techniques has provided greater insight into the progression and extent of these deficits. This chapter aims to describe the color vision and eye movement abnormalities that are associated with PD, and examine their relationships with neurological severity, age, and standard PD treatments.
