Imaging Diagnosis of Permanent Synthetic Filler Migration to Female and Male Genitals
摘要
This chapter discusses the rare but significant migration of synthetic fillers to male and female genitalia. Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), especially T2 fat-suppressed and gadolinium-enhanced sequences, clinicians can visualize filler spread from the buttocks via ischiorectal fossae and inguinal paths to genital structures. This chapter also addresses complications of direct penile filler injection, such as fibrosis and infection, with MRI and ultrasound serving as diagnostic tools. Patterns of migration, imaging findings, and differential diagnosis of complications are detailed to assist in clinical and surgical decision-making.
