Transforming Christian Conferencing within the United Methodist Church requires more than just conversation. It calls for a shift in how communities engage with issues of race, power, and belonging. This chapter introduces Transformative Community Conferencing (TCC) as a method to reframe Christian Conferencing into a dynamic, action-oriented space where narratives are examined, relationships are strengthened, and structures are reshaped to foster genuine inclusion. By integrating TCC, congregations can move beyond maintaining the status quo and toward meaningful transformation. Drawing from theological insights on liminality, personal storytelling, and practical strategies, this approach provides a pathway for churches to navigate the discomfort of change while embracing God’s call for justice and reconciliation. As local congregations, such as Pound Ridge Community Church, embark on this journey, the goal is to cultivate a community where all voices are heard, honored, and empowered to participate in building a more just and equitable faith space.
