The article aimed at comparing the effectiveness (efficiency) of using different methods of controlling the pump as well as motor flow rate of the hydrostatic multi-source drive systems. The publication will present the experimental and simulation studies conducted so far on a hydrostatic system consisting of multi-piston, axial hydrostatic units with a digital hydraulic system. The basis for this second concept is several gear pumps with appropriate capacities placed on one shaft of the drive motor with appropriate control valves, which allow for changing the flow rate in the system. Due to the use of digital hydraulics, usually expensive proportional valves can be replaced with many inexpensive and simple directional valves (2/2).
