Design and Modeling of Two-Tier Impellers for Torque-Flow Pumps
摘要
Due to a permanent increase in the operating parameters of pumping equipment, the problem of enhancing its energy efficiency becomes more topical. The article considers torque-flow pumps for working fluids with a high content of solid particles, fibrous materials, and other highly contaminated liquids. The research mainly aims to solve the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of torque-flow pumps by developing two-tier impellers. To achieve this goal, appropriate design schemes for two-tier impellers were designed. They allowed the problem of increasing the pressure head in torque-flow pumps to be solved. In scientific research, 3D models of the flow part elements have been designed using SolidWorks for the torque-flow pump SVN 80–32. Numerical simulations using ANSYS CFX were also carried out. The impact of the flow part geometry on the characteristics of the torque-flow pump was also considered. The study results showed that the two-tier impeller has a 1.3 m higher pressure head than a typical single-tier impeller. This confirms the feasibility of the developed impeller designs for torque-flow pumps to increase the energy efficiency of the corresponding pumping equipment.
