Mathematical Modelling of Induction Machine Under Stator Inter – Turn

Induction machines are crucial in industrial applications, and ensuring their reliable and safe operation is highly important. Many failures of the induction machine can come from excessive downtime where it generates large losses regarding the maintenance and lost revenues. Nowadays in focus of researcher is to build a mathematical model for electrical machine in mention to study the behaviour of his in case of stator winding dam-age. In this paper will analyse stator winding faults and mechanism of development of defects. Also, will have built a model for induction machine which takes into considerations of inter-turn shorted of stator winding during machine’s operation. Building a mathematical model which represents various defects in the induction machine has an ad-vantage that not required time and equipment to study of machine. To confirm the accuracy of the mathematical model in case of stator winding faults in electrical machines, an induction machine was re-winded at laboratory to have some winding outputs in order to simulate different inter-turn short-circuit fault of stator winding. The result obtained by mathematical model of induction machine and experimental results show coherence among each other.
