Spatial Planning, Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Management: A Framework
摘要
This first chapter discusses how a better relationship between disaster risk reduction and spatial planning could represent an opportunity for preventing and mitigating disaster impacts, proposing the integration of resilience management being an approach able to deal with the complexities of contemporary systems. Following the introduction of resilience intended as a as process which learns from past experiences, the relevance of post-event damage and loss data potential and their different uses in the field of disaster risk management are addressed in the chapter.
