Restoring Root-Canal-Treated Teeth
摘要
This chapter will provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges in restoring the endodontically treated tooth. Key aspects of how endodontically treated teeth differ from vital teeth are described, and solutions to overcoming these for successful adhesive restoration. The provision of adhesive fibre posts is detailed in a stepwise manner, in addition to immediate dentine sealing. Management of the pulp space is also explained for anterior and posterior teeth. The chapter ends with a description of the provision of the direct composite onlay, which can achieve cuspal coverage efficiently and swiftly post root canal treatment.
