This paper presents one of the outcomes of a scientific design project aimed at developing a twofold prefabricated module for post-disaster and post-crisis accommodation in regions affected by natural disasters due to climate change and migration processes due to various military crises. The authors propose a modular solution for a comparatively long-term post-crisis shelter—a structure consisting of residential modules, which is highly universal and adaptable to various locations and terrains with or without access to existing infrastructure, with a certain degree of energy independence and functional flexibility. The dimensions of each unit are 3 × 4 m. The units are made of eco-straw panels providing high thermal insulation required for long-term habitation. Non-invasive foundation methods are used. A sanitary module is attached to the form. Rainwater harvesting measures have been implemented and the possibility of grey water recycling has been explored. The design solution provides options for relatively rapid assembly and disassembly and compact storage, enabling the usage of the accommodation unit almost anywhere worldwide serving as a quick response to emergency situations.
