In this chapter, we will consider non-uniformbeams of periodic structure. The non-uniformityof a beam can bea result of non-homogeneityof the materialfromwhich it is made (the beams made of composite materials (Johnson 2004; Agarwal et al. 2006; Kollar and Springer 2009; Kapuria et al. 2004; Zhen and Wanji 2008) or made of different constitutive elements (Pshenichnov 1993; Panasenko 1993), and non-uniformityof the beam geometry (complex geometry beam) (Qiao et al. 2017; Cartraud and Messager 2006; Vinot et al. 2001; Treyssede and Cartraud 2022; Gesualdo 2018), or both of them (Buannic and Cartraud 2001).
