Social Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Innovation: Lithuanian Case Study Analysis

Article analysis concept entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, marketing, and innovation. The article task is to analyse social entrepreneurship, social marketing, and social innovation practice in Lithuania. The chapter analysis that entrepreneurship includes creation of new businesses, contributing to economic dynamism and progress, creating new jobs, reducing unemployment and promoting economic development, emphasizing resource allocation, decision-making, capital supply, innovation and the elimination of uncertainty, is a multifaceted phenomenon that promote the structure of production and creates structures conducive to innovation, is the main tool of sustainable development. Social entrepreneurship is a business model that combines profit-making with social goals and priorities, is based on the principles of socially responsible business and public–private partnerships, and applies social innovation. Social entrepreneurship encompasses three main aspects: entrepreneurial, social, and governance. Social entrepreneurship is characterized by a very wide spectrum of activities. Social business usually operates in three areas: integration into the labour market, personal services and development of socially excluded areas. The development of social entrepreneurship in Lithuania should also take place by encouraging traditional private business to get involved in solving social problems and by encouraging non-governmental organizations to apply business models in their activities. According to scientific social innovation is an interdisciplinary concept and field that involves individuals with backgrounds in different disciplines, where the emphasis is on balancing societal differences related to power, economics or other factors, as a product means the creation of social value for a specific society. The article analyzes the case study of the shopping center Akropolis and Lidl's and Camelia Pharmacy social entrepreneurship, marketing, and innovation.
