Crisis Leadership in Education: Theoretical Review
摘要
Learning from previous crises is a handy way to avoid problems in the future. As human beings, we must always examine the past of the crisis. To be prepared for emergencies, we must understand how leaders handle crises. A crisis happened surprisingly; this paper provides a comparative study on crisis leadership management in educational institutions in several countries. This will provide leaders and policymakers in the educational field to learn more about crisis leadership, helping them manage crisis leadership in educational institutions. After reading and reviewing many articles, there is a lack of papers discussing crisis leadership in the Gulf region educational institutes, so there is a need to lay out how educational institutes managed crisis and emergency situations in other countries. Mitroff’s conceptual model could be adopted by academic institutions in the Gulf region to manage the crisis.
