This study examines the contributions of Bahraini women towards the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), concentrating on aspects of empowerment, participation, and the influence of policy within Bahrain and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This research utilizes a qualitative methodology grounded in secondary data and meta-analysis, synthesizing recent studies, national reports, and global datasets to assess Bahrain's advancement in meeting gender-related objectives, with a particular focus on SDG 5 (Gender Equality). The evidence suggests that Bahrain has achieved significant progress in the realm of female education and leadership within the public sector, as women now represent 64% of higher education graduates and occupy 55% of supervisory roles in government. Nonetheless, deficiencies persist in the realms of political representation and leadership within the private sector, as participation rates continue to fall short of regional standards. A comparative analysis indicates Bahrain's notable position within the GCC nations, especially regarding policy formulation, while also highlighting the persistent impact of cultural norms and the necessity for consistent implementation. The research indicates that although Bahrain stands as a prominent figure in regional initiatives for institutional empowerment, the attainment of complete gender parity by 2030 necessitates a more profound incorporation of legal reforms, cultural evolution, and inclusive governance practices. This study enriches the regional dialogue surrounding sustainable development by providing empirical insights and strategic recommendations aimed at amplifying women's contributions to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
