Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to change whole sectors drastically. Women's empowerment and social, economic, and political liberation are among its most potential uses. AI offers flexible tools to remove the systemic obstacles that keep women from participating in healthcare, education, work, and decision-making. This article evaluates how AI-based technology is now being used to improve female participation, lessen gender inequity, and raise the profile of women's voices internationally. Along with examining the challenges and ethical implications, it provides guidance on developing gender-aware AI. The findings show that AI can assist women in accessing quality health care and education, protect them from domestic violence and harassment, and ultimately enable them to command a sizeable role in policymaking and women's economic emancipation. But so far, the state of AI models indicates that women might be discriminated against and face privacy issues. The study finds that if AI is to realise its full potential, it needs to be embraced with purpose and openness.
