Redesigning Emotion: The Transformative Influence of Female Designers on Furniture Form and Experience
摘要
This study investigates how female furniture designers combine neuroaesthetic knowledge with ethical considerations into modern product design. Using a feminist qualitative research paradigm will help one to reach this. To investigate how female-led design processes prioritize material ethics, emotional resonance, and spatial inclusivity, 62 Scopus-indexed articles (1990–2025) were first preliminarily screened in a systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach. The findings of the present study demonstrate that feminine approaches to design, characterised by care, empathy and embodied experience, enhance emotional engagement and promote digital well-being. These approaches are often contrasted with the prevailing functionalist paradigm, which often neglects the sensory and emotional realms. The study proposes feminine design as a transformative force within neuroaesthetic discourse, advancing inclusive, emotionally resonant design futures.
