The theoretical foundations for the ALPHA Penning-Malmberg and magnetic minimum traps have been laid out in the previous chapter. The combination of these two traps allows the confinement of charged particles, the manipulation of these charged particles to form antihydrogen and finally the confinement of neutral antihydrogen.
