Data Tables
摘要
In this chapter, I discuss data tables—a commonly used modality to make the data from a visualization accessible to screen-reader users. To familiarize the readers with a screen reader’s interaction with data tables, a detailed example is demonstrated. Further, Google Charts and its accessibility measures, including data tables, are discussed. Then, I supply readers with techniques to add data tables to web pages and to make them accessible. Additionally, the chapter discusses the use cases when data tables are most beneficial and when they should be used with caution. The chapter also contains three exercises for readers to implement, assess, and interact with accessible data tables.
