This paper discusses the current issue of migration in the modern global landscape, which is a subject of passionate interest for almost all countries. In the modern world, migration has a significant impact on the technological capabilities of both receiving and sending countries. The paper also focuses on the impact of migration on the demographic development of the European Union (EU) and its connection with sustainable development, which is considered through the prism of the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goal 2030 Agenda. In our paper, we mainly analyze the processes taking place in the EU countries from the perspective of migration impact on sustainable developments and social security systems. We use the theoretical methodological basis to analyses the migration process and its impact on security system of the EU through technological change. We rely on and analyze the scientific papers represented by scholars in international journals and books; international research; publications and statistical data represented by prestigious international organizations such as International Organization for Migration IOM, International Labour Organization ILO, European Commission, Eurostat, European Parliamentary Research Service, The World Bank, United Nations, and others.
