The Relevance of Risk-Based Approaches in Climate Change Adaptation
摘要
Climate change adaptation has become an important component of climate change governance. One approach that seems to have accompanied its rise on the international agenda is risk management. This introduction presents our understanding of adaptation and risk management. It summarises the findings from the RISKSEC2.0 project that ground the studies included in this book and outlines the challenge we aim to address, namely, the theoretical and empirical implications of using risk management in climate change adaptation to tackle the climate change challenge.
