Animatronics and Multisensory Boxes: Their Impact on Children’s Motor Development
摘要
Motor development in children is a fundamental aspect in their growth, especially in those who require additional stimulation to improve their coordination and fine motor skills. This study presents the design and implementation of an animatronic system composed of interactive stuffed animals and multisensory boxes, designed to improve children’s motor skills through sensor-controlled activities. Each plush toy incorporates challenges such as twisting and untwisting, buttoning and unbuttoning, and joining or separating elements, while the multisensory boxes reinforce color perception and emotions. Integration with digital whiteboards and a database allows healthcare professionals to monitor the child’s progress, setting personalized goals for each activity. The results demonstrate that the combination of technology and interactive activities facilitates children’s motor development, offering an innovative tool for early stimulation.
