Sustainable AI-Based Last-Mile Delivery: Enhancing Sorting Efficiency and Customer Engagement for Reusable Packaging Systems
摘要
The integration of reusable packaging in last-mile delivery not only addresses environmental sustainability but also presents complex challenges and opportunities in reverse logistics and consumer engagement. This research aims to delve into the logistical, technological, and behavioral facets that influence the viability and effectiveness of such solutions, with a significant focus on consumer participation. The primary aim is to investigate the feasibility and benefits of implementing the integrated deposit and gamification system, combined with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for sorting return cardboard packaging, and to explore the potential for enhancing consumer participation and improving operational efficiency in the last mile delivery. The secondary aim was to examine customer participation in the reusable package system, understanding the factors that influence consumer engagement and how this affects the success of such systems. The results indicate potential for improving consumer participation in reusable packages, providing a model for sustainable and cost-effective delivery solutions.
