Heat-Based Electricity Production and Supporting Technologies
摘要
Most electricity, from coalCoal, natural gasNatural gas, biomassBiomass, hydro, wind, and nuclear power plants, is produced through electromagnetic induction. The ones that create heat to make electricity—coalCoal, natural gasNatural gas, biomassBiomass, and nuclear—are called heat engines, and these have thermodynamic limits on how much of the heat can be converted into electricity.
