The authors present a comprehensive review of when best to involve an interventional radiologist in the multidisciplinary care of the liver transplant patient. As the rate and prevalence of transplantation increases, there is an increased need and value to understanding relevant catheter-based therapy options in the management of post-transplantation complications. This article specifically focuses on the biliary, portal, arterial, and hepatocaval postoperative complications and management. These minimally invasive techniques allow for decreased morbidity and mortality of these complications and improve patient outcomes.
