Hysterosalpingography/Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
摘要
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a dye-based radiologic evaluation of the uterus and fallopian tubes. It is used primarily for the workup of infertility. Other indications include the evaluation of women with a history of recurrent spontaneous abortions, postoperative evaluations for women who have undergone reversal of tubal ligation, and assessment of women prior to undergoing myomectomy. The primary role of the procedure is to evaluate the patency of the fallopian tubes (Simpson WL, Beitia LG, Mester J. Radiographics, 26:419–431, 2006). The optimal time for the study to be performed is from days 7 to 12 of the menstrual cycle.
