摘要
The Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA) brings together European data archives in the field of social sciences. The main purpose is to strengthen the cooperation between national archives, sharing the expertise, and offering an infrastructure that allows scholars to deposit and find good quality data. Data Archive for Social Sciences in Italy (DASSI) is the Italian national service provider of CESSDA, founded in 2021 through a Joint Research Unit between the University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB) and the National Research Council (CNR). The chapter aims to show the history and the main features of CESSDA, how it works, the tools and resources available to users. Furthermore, DASSI will be illustrated: the main goals and the archiving procedure, with particular attention to data curation and preservation, metadata, deposit procedure.
