Artificial Intelligence is composed of all the technologies by which computers are able to learn, analyse data, understand and even make decisions, unlike previous systems that simply collected, systematised and analysed data. Artificial Intelligence is able to manipulate forms, optimise and generate solutions, interact with the client, manage and control design, construction, management and monitoring processes. Artificial Intelligence is therefore a part of Computer Science that can simulate cognitive processes. Artificial Intelligence AI is based on the use of advanced algorithms, neural networks and “machine learning” techniques. In architecture, it is concerned with optimising and enhancing all processes ranging from design to the construction of spaces and pieces at the building and urban fabric scale, always keeping functionality and sustainability in mind. These technologies essentially include: BIM (Building Information Modelling), Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Parametric Design, Generative Design, the latest generation of geometrically complex Renders. Only the Catholic Church, as is always its custom and its strong worldwide role, sometimes unheeded, has spoken out on the matter.
