The methods for measuring the velocities of propagation of bulk acoustic waves in solids are described. The operating principle of the setup for measuring the velocities of propagation of longitudinal and shear bulk acoustic waves in solids is considered. The peculiarities of using the developed setup for conducting both rapid and precise measurements are outlined. The results of measurements of the velocities of propagation of longitudinal and shear waves in chalcogenide glasses based on the setup developed at the Department of Electroacoustics and Ultrasonic Engineering of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” are presented.

摘要

The methods for measuring the velocities of propagation of bulk acoustic waves in solids are described.
