Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an everyday reality for many people in the last while. It can be a very useful tool, but it can also pose a threat. There is an emerging body of literature which covers the subject of AI. It is worth trying to inform readers about the use and misuse of AI within the context of the criminal justice system due to its widespread use. Considering this, the literature presented in this volume ranges from early advancements in the development of AI to contemporary forms of its use in criminal activity and crime counteraction. Moreover, this volume attempts to integrate discussions relating to various stages of criminal justice, from policing to court proceedings and prison management.
