Facility management deals with the effective management and maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, technical systems and spaces in order to ensure their functionality, safety and economy throughout their entire life cycle. Facility management also brings order to society, but first and foremost the operability of the entire building should be ensured. It mainly concerns the coordination ofall tasks that take place in the building. This may include, for example: planning, organization, control and optimization of processes associated with the operation of the building, including the maintenance of technical equipment, etc. in this regard, it is necessary to analyze the current state of this issue. The presented article is devoted to the analysis of the use of Facility Management in the Slovak Republic in comparison with countries such as the Czech Republic, Germany and the United States of America. In conclusion, a survey that was conducted in the slovak republic is analyzed.
