Influence of Recycled Aggregates from Uncured Concrete and the Use of Dry Fly Ash from Thermal Power Plants in Fine-Grained Ultra-Hard Vibro-Pressed Concrete Mixtures

The publication presented by the authors analyses the use of dry fly ash from thermal power plants and recycled concrete aggregates in the technology of semi-dry vibro-pressing for producing shaped paving and kerb elements based on ultra-hard, fine-grained concrete mixtures. This research is clearly relevant, as it not only eliminates defects in the moulding of concrete products during production, but also creates additional opportunities to improve environmental properties through the active interaction of dry fly ash from thermal power plants and recycled aggregates from uncured concrete in the moulded concrete mixture for mass-produced building products. In the publication, the authors provide a detailed analysis of literature sources and investigate the impact of recycling aggregates in the processing of freshly moulded concrete, as well as the specifics of the interaction of fly ash from dry selection in Ukrainian thermal power plants in concrete based on ultra-hard, fine-grained concrete mixtures. The publication analyses the results of studies of dry fly ash from Burshtyn and Dobrotvir thermal power plants in fine-grained vibro-pressed concrete. The researchers propose to investigate more thoroughly the mechanism of action of waste from uncured concrete mixtures in the process of vibro-pressing at modern concrete mixing plants in interaction with the fly ash from dry selection from TPPs added to the concrete mix on the performance characteristics of concrete products.
