Role of Advance Techniques in Urban Disaster Management Caused by Climate Variations
摘要
Natural disasters (NDs) have long posed a serious risk to infrastructure and human life, resulting in significant loss and destruction. The necessity for more effective and efficient disaster management systems has been brought to light currently by the rising frequency and intensity of natural disasters. Utilizing technology has become a viable remedy in this regard. NDs have caused massive havoc throughout history, which is typically accompanied by a significant loss of life. Natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes, had a devastating effect on both the environment and communities. Although technology can greatly enhance natural disaster management (NDM), there are a number of issues that must be resolved, including implementation costs and the requirement for certain expertise. This comprehensive review offers a thorough analysis of technology that is being used to manage NDs and clarifies the significant contribution that these technologies may make to NDM. This also intends to aid in the creation of more sustainable and successful disaster management plans by investigating the possible uses of various technologies. The use of modern technologies to lessen the effects of different natural disasters is explored in this book chapter.
