This paper shows the development of a web-based system designed to provide real-time price information to farmers in the time of developing economies. The system aims to address the serious issue of information asymmetry, where farmers often lack access to current market prices, leading to economic exploitation by middlemen. By implementing the Flask micro-framework for backend development and integrating with external data sources, the system delivers up-to-date price data in a user-friendly format tailored for rural farmers with limited technological familiarity. This paper outlines the system’s architecture, methodology, and potential impact on empowering farmers in price negotiations. It also discusses the wider implications for agricultural market efficiency and suggests avenues for future research.
