Radiographic Evaluation of Patient Undergoing Prosthodontic Treatment: A Narrative Review
摘要
Radiographic Evaluation (RE) is central to prosthodontics, refining diagnostic precision and treatment plan for dental treatments, such as crowns, bridges, and implants. This literature review examines the development of radiographic procedures, Reinforcing the role of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in refining diagnostic precision and reducing radiation exposure. Conventional techniques, including intraoral periapical and panoramic radiographs, are compared with high-technology imaging modalities such as digital radiography a, which achieve higher-quality three-dimensional visualization of anatomical structures. Additionally, the paper covers the aspects of radiographic assessments in implantology, maxillofacial prosthetics, and temporomandibular joint disorders. Integrating high-technology imaging tools with clinical work enables clinicians to optimize therapeutic results and guarantee prosthetic restorations’ long-term success. This comprehensive overview validating the importance of continued advancements in radiographic techniques to support effective prosthodontic interventions.
