In the cyber age, this concept faces new challenges, such as digitisation and the management of digital resources as public goods. The article delves into the origins and evolution of public property law, highlighting the impact of new technologies on the legal regime applicable to it. Analysed from an interdisciplinary and comparative perspective, it proposes the possibility of codifying the law of cyber public property, the legal regime applicable to essential digital resources. The article also identifies the link between physical and cyber public property, suggesting a legal framework to ensure the responsible and sustainable use of digital resources for the benefit of the entire global community.
