The study aims to explore the potential of major European corporations to establish a global minimum standard for employee rights, thereby enhancing employee protection and promoting European values related to labour rights and human dignity. In the initial stage, the research identifies the key pillars of employee protection as defined by European legislation and policies, with a focus on the most relevant legal provisions and principles. The second stage involves a detailed analysis of the sustainability reports published by major European corporations, with an emphasis on identifying global initiatives that establish minimum employee protection standards, regardless of the national legal frameworks governing these employees. By comparing the findings from these two stages, the study evaluates the extent to which these corporations influence the global promotion of essential labour rights. The research highlights how corporate social responsibility and sustainability practices enable European corporations to contribute to the creation of safer, more equitable work environments. In doing so, these corporations play a pivotal role in aligning global labour practices with European values, including respect for human dignity, equity, and transparency, demonstrating the potential for European principles to shape labour standards worldwide.
