In view of the perceptions and reactions discussed in the preceding chapter, in this chapter I shall revisit the nexus between identity and the complex factors (security, economic, political, geographical, cultural, religious and so on) of discrimination against African migrants. I shall analyse the current international political condition characterised by the phenomena of resurgent nationalism, populism and xenophobia and how these phenomena have amplified the problem of migration.

摘要
