Application of Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse Technologies in Biopharmaceutical Vocational Education: Trends and Practical Pathways

As the biopharmaceutical industry rapidly develops, the demand for highly skilled interdisciplinary professionals is becoming increasingly urgent. This paper explores the deep integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Metaverse technologies in the field of biopharmaceutical vocational education, analyzing the key pathways through which they drive transformation of teaching models, including innovative practices such as immersive virtual laboratories, Bioprocess Digital Twin (BPDT) technology, and virtual GMP compliance training. The study indicates that these technological approaches not only resolve issues of limited resources, delayed feedback, and insufficient practice in traditional teaching models, but also achieve a close integration of theoretical knowledge and practical operation, significantly enhancing students’ systems thinking, hands-on skills, and compliance awareness. The findings emphasize that advancing the dual driving forces of technological empowerment and industry-education integration will be the key pathway for China’s vocational education to achieve high-quality development. Future research should also pay attention to data security and AI ethics in digital transformation, and conduct empirical studies to verify the actual effectiveness of different approaches.
