Encryption Strategies for Secure Diamond Quality Management: Blockchain for Diamond Quality Traceability
摘要
The diamond industry faces significant challenges in authenticating, certifying, and managing the quality of diamonds due to the limitations of traditional methods. This paper explores the integration of blockchain technology to address these issues. By employing encrypted Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), smart contracts, and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), we propose a model for diamond quality management that enhances transparency, security, and traceability. The study includes a comparative analysis of transaction fees across four Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible platforms–BNB Chain, Fantom, Polygon, and Celo–to evaluate their cost-efficiency for deploying blockchain-based solutions. Additionally, the effectiveness of various encryption algorithms is assessed to ensure the secure management of diamond quality records. The findings demonstrate the potential of blockchain technology to transform the diamond industry’s quality management processes, providing a more reliable and efficient system..
