This study investigates the metalinguistic significance of verb phrase ellipsis (VPE) in corporate communication, examined at both the subliminal and conscious levels. As a field, metalinguistics explores the reflexive aspects of language, specifically its use to describe, analyze, and interpret linguistic phenomena. In this context, VPE serves as a tool for reflecting the linguistic and psychological depth of communication. Conscious use of VPE is linked to the deliberate application of strategies designed to create clear and persuasive messages aimed at shaping a specific perception in the audience. Meanwhile, the subliminal use of ellipsis involves subtle techniques that influence the behavior and attitudes of interlocutors at an intuitive level. The results reveal that entrepreneurs use VPE subliminally, while journalists use it more consciously. This difference may be attributed to their roles and the communication contexts in which they operate. The study highlights the impact of professional roles and training levels on the strategic use of VPE, offering valuable insights into how individuals with different professional backgrounds adapt their communication strategies to effectively achieve their goals.

摘要
